BBC consultant provides training for GPB staff

Georgian Public Broadcaster will present a popular TV project of BBC “Speaker” from the new TV season.
Simon Quigley, BBC consultant arrived in Georgia to provide the creative group of the “Speaker” with the special recommendations. He conducted training for GPB staff on September 19-20.

Quigley shared his experience to GPB staff, as he had worked for the TV project “Speaker” in 2009.

BBC consultant assists the producing group of “Speaker” in implementation of the project successfully and gives recommendations for solving the problems.

“Speaker” is the popular TV project of BBC. The project revealed British young orator Duncan Harrison in 2009.

Georgian Public Broadcaster gives opportunity to the Georgian teenagers to speak publicly on the important issues and present their oratorical skills. The winner will become the best speaker of Georgia.

The Georgian Public Broadcasting (GPB) announced the casting for selecting the participants. October 1 is the deadline for submitting applications. The castings of the "Speaker" will be held in different cities (Batumi, Kutaisi, Telavi and Tbilisi) of Georgia. Eight participants will be selected.

The first casting of the "Speaker" will take place at the Telavi State Theatre on October 8.
