2017 JESC to be Held at Tbilisi Sports Palace

The 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) will take place on Sunday, November 26. The competition will be held in the Tbilisi Sports Palace.

Georgia will be the 15th Junior Eurovision Song Contest host country and Georgian Public Broadcaster will represent its 11th contestant at the JESC. The steering group of JESC which is formed by representatives of Public Broadcasters from different countries is currently in Georgia. The group has scheduled working meetings regarding the issues of hosting JESC 2017 in Georgia.

In 2016 it was the third time that Georgia has won the competition, setting a new record for Junior Eurovision. No other countries had similar results before. Georgia scored a total of 239 points at the 14th edition of JESC. Afterwards GPB was given first option from EBU to host the JESC 2017 in Georgia.
